World Tuberculosis Day 2023 was observed by Medical Surgical Nursing department, BGS Global Institute of Nursing Sciences on the theme “Yes! we can end TB” on 24th March 2023. IInd year B. Sc. Nursing students took an initiative to organize the programme under the guidance Dr. Prof. Gigi Thomas HOD & Principal Medical Surgical Department and Mrs. Reshma Kharvi Associate Prof (Ph. D scholar) Medical Surgical Nursing Department.

The programme was started by prayer song by Mrs. Steffi and group. Ms. Jayashree Asst. Lecturer Medical Surgical Department welcomed the gathering. Event was graced by Dr. Mohan, Dean and Principal, BGS Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Srikanth Kulkarni Medical Superintendent., Dr. Manjunath Principal AHS, Dr. Prof. Gigi Thomas Principal, BGS Global Institute of Nursing Sciences, Dr. Balachandran HOD General Medicine, Dr. Jayashree HOD Community Medicine. Dr. Dilip Kumar senior resident, Department of pulmonary Medicine, Dr Prof. Nischal, surgery Department, Deputy Superintendent. Dr Ravi Shankar Prof General Medicine, Dr Naveen general medicine were also present during programme. Dr. Balachandran HOD general medicine gave speech on the theme theme “Yes! we can end TB”. Nursing Students presented their posters and explained on Tuberculosis and its treatment measures.

Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Monica Asst. Lecturer, Medical Surgical Department. Program was conducted at BGS hospital, Bangalore. Students of II-year B. Sc. Nursing gave awareness on the disease by performing Flash Mob. Finally programme was ended by conducting Rally from hospital primes to main entrance.
